Clarity and confidence when working with AI

Join Sergio Rizzo, Member of the Boards of Appeal at the EU Intellectual Property Office, for a practical and forward looking exploration of how design professionals can navigate protection, authorship, and liability in the era of AI driven creativity.

In the first part, Sergio will explain how designers and agencies can protect traditional, virtual, and AI generated designs before the EUIPO, offering clear guidance on what is protectable and how the evolving EU design framework addresses digital and algorithmic creation.

The second part will dive into real world challenges introduced by AI in the design workflow, including authorship of AI assisted creations, liability for infringements stemming from AI generated outputs, and the shifting contractual landscape between designers, agencies, and clients.

epda Member Christian Prill will host the session and moderate the interactive Q&A session. Your questions are welcome!

Expect a concise, practical, and insight rich session, tailor made for design professionals seeking clarity and confidence when working with AI.
