Tea is the perfect thirst quencher, no matter how thirsty you are. In addition, the essential oils it contains have a positive effect on body and soul. The only problem with tea is that you drink it hot. Especially in summer, you sweat where you’d hoped to get refreshed. Ti is the perfect solution. It is an iced tea sweetened with a little organic juice and cane sugar. But only a little. Because Ti want his refreshing ice tea to retain its high-quality and really refreshing tea taste. Our task: to develop a complete design relaunch for the Ti brand, which has been around for years but has now been given a completely new brand design. We have completely redesigned the brand from logo to packaging, from POS to website.
The revolution had its origins in the “Halber Mond” Guesthouse in Heppenheim – and went on to have a significant influence on the development of democracy in Germany. In 184718 liberal politicians met up in this very guesthouse to agree on among other things unrestricted press freedom without conditions or reprimands of any form. The location where today the single malt whisky matures in original casks made of oak from the Spessart region was the inspiration for the unconventional packaging: a newspaper entirely devised and designed by us. The outer packaging only appears to be a newspaper from the year 1848. The vintage character in particular is evoked by the illustrations that we created ourselves based on the style of early satirical cartoons as well as by texts that use the language and the content of that era. However the packaging doesn’t feel out of place today. Because firstly we underline the brand’s heritage with a retro design that feels authentic. And secondly the gaudy orange of our packaging makes it appear trendy and up-to-date.
The traditional company located in Restate underwent a beverage packaging relaunch that consciously avoided using a uniform design architecture for the entire range. Even though every bottle can clearly be recognised as a Franz beer the focus of the label is on the originality and on the individual taste of each different type. And this diversity has been well received. Without a large marketing budget or the use of elaborate communication measures the brewery has now already managed to more than double its turnover!
Beer design relaunch? True to the motto that “less is more” the tried and trusted brand elements were visually re-created in line with the design strategy. We did this by not only carefully redeveloping the logo but also by giving the whole packaging a completely new look – from the label design and the look of the cans right up to refreshing the entire secondary packaging. On top of this we also redeveloped the corporate design and documented the results of our work on the brand in a brand manual. And it is already now clear: as one of the most well-known beer brands Warsteiner is perceived at the POS and in bars and restaurants as having a special stylistic confidence and being even more authentic.
The brewery C. & A. Veltins continues to polish its unique brand profile – in the true sense of the word. For the last decade the Sauerland-based brewery’s embossed bottles have characterized the market image of fresh Veltins. The much loved packaging can now even be taken home in crates designed by Porsche. In order to transfer this design quality to the growing half-litre packaging segment Higgins pulled out all the stops in terms of beverage brand design. The beer can’s surface was given a consistent embossed brand design with raised Veltins lettering and a tangible structure. A refreshing exciting design that customers can actually feel.
